All persons of good moral character who are awarded the Purple Heart Medal by the Government of the United States AND are Active Duty or have Honorable or General discharge are eligible for active membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A. Please note that the MOPH does not have posthumous memberships.
Only living Purple Heart Recipients are eligible for membership. Simply fill out the application - and become a member.. Click on the site below.
The Chapter meets once a month at VFW Post 8541 located at 2222 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX at 9:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
Our Purple Heart service officers are in furlough Indefinitely. However we have the VA, Texas Veteran Commission and DAV service officers available to help veterans. Frank M. The Purple Heart Service Officers are in Furlough indefinitely. There are no personnel remaining in the MOPH service offices to respond to inquiries. Please use the following letter to transfer your claims to the VA, TVC or DAV service officers.
Fiesta Medal 2021
MOPH Alamo Chapter Fiesta Medals proceeds will be donated for the building of a Veterans Memorial in San Antonio Texas. The Military Order Of The Purple Heart Fiesta Medal represents a Purple Heart Medallion and Branches of Service, which is draped on a beautiful Purple Heart Ribbon. If you would like to obtain this Fiesta Medal, a donation of $10.00 per Medal will be greatly appreciated.
