“Jayden Daniels needs some practice while he's dealing with a rib injury,” Commanders coach Dan Quinn said

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Jayden Daniels will participate in some capacity at Washington Commanders' training Wednesday Dealing with a rib injurysaid coach Dan Quinn.

Quinn addressed reporters before taking the field and said that popular franchise quarterback and fellow rookie Brandon Coleman, who rotated against Carolina before his Oct. 20 concussion, was practicing at left tackle. According to Quinn, veteran tackle Cornelius Lucas will not be out with an ankle injury.

But the focus is on Daniels, who gutted himself through sore ribs to help Washington defeated Chicago on his Hail Mary touchdown pass Sunday. He missed practice early last week before being placed on a limited roster Friday and was listed as questionable and a game-time decision.

Daniels took several hard hits against the Bears but came out of the win saying he was fine. He and the 6-2 Commanders visit the 2-6 New York Giants this weekend.
