Teens arrested after a prank set the yard on fire before a rival football game in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WSMV) – Eight teenagers are charged and others have arrest warrants after a football prank set a front yard on fire in Spring Hill on Tuesday night.

Officers were called to another home where significant damage was caused as people threw eggs at the home and cars parked in the driveway.

The incidents were related to an upcoming football game between Summit High School and Independence High School on Friday.

Eight teenagers were arrested and charged with vandalism, and Spring Hill police said there are others who have warrants out and are “of legal age.”

Summit's football team is currently 3-6 on the season while Independence is 2-7. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m
