Four people were arrested during inspections of red-tagged properties in Lompoc

Four people were arrested in Lompoc on Wednesday following a warrant search of two red-tagged residences at 438 South J Street and 215 West Locust Avenue.

Officials report that the apartments searched were previously deemed unsafe for occupancy or entry by the Lompoc Building and Code Enforcement Division.

Residents of the properties were reportedly ordered to vacate the premises; However, the Lompoc Police Department says the order has been continually violated.

During the inspection on Wednesday morning, officers allegedly discovered four people in the apartments and took all four into custody.

LPD reports the following information about the inmates:

  • Quentin Smith, 44 years old: Charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer
  • Cassidy Kenworthy, age 40: Arrested on outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled substance
  • Sueko Miranda, 37 years old: Charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer
  • Kirk Polchow, 34: Charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer

Officials said the apartments were later boarded up and posted “No Trespassing” posters.
